UG2 is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager who will be responsible for generating new business sales within the New England region. This individual will be responsible for driving sustainable financial growth through boosting sales and forging strong relationships with current and prospective clients. This position will prospect new business by performing research, cold calling, networking, and other methods of producing interest from potential clients. They will also leverage persuasive approaches and proposals, to convert potential clients into new business customers. Additionally, this position will develop, upsell, cross-sell and maintain existing client accounts.

Job Responsibilities
• Prospect and identify potential new clients within the New England region
• Leverage and build your professional network to identify potential new clients
• Drive solution development, proposal development and pricing for new business activity
• Manage sales pipeline and forecast sales targets
• Track and record business development activity
• Participate in and attend local industry activities including but not limited to association events, conferences, trade shows and more.
• Perform prospecting activities to identify new targets and build contact lists
• Research trends and create new opportunities to increase sales
• Collaborate with sales and account teams to ensure requirements are met, such as sales numbers and profit goals
• Maintain a strong understanding of our services
• Continuously identify and develop UG2’s unique selling proposition and key differentiators
• Provide prompt response to all requests
• Work cross functionally with other internal departments to meet client needs and exceed expectations
• Uphold and project UG2’s core values and standards

Position Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business or a related field
• Proven experience as a business development manager, sales executive or relevant role
• Exceptional written communications skills
• Superior presentation skills with the ability to share technical and non-technical concepts clearly and concisely
• Ability to develop innovation solutions
• Excellent organizational skills to meet goals and set priorities
• Innate drive to succeed and take initiative
• Strong organizational talents and ability to work under pressure and in new environments
• Customer service excellence mentality
• Proficient in Microsoft applications, especially excel
• Experience with Salesforce is a plus
• This position will require some travel
