UG2 is seeking a Licensed Electrician for a commercial building in the Boston area.

The essential function of the Electrician is to serve the facility by maintaining and repairing electrical systems with an emphasis on quality work, performed efficiently and following all applicable local and national codes. He or she must know local electrical codes and be able to apply them in a practical manner on each job. Must be able to work with inspectors, suppliers and co-worker technicians to ensure correct project work, while abiding by all codes. Must be able to draw simple wiring diagrams and be able to read other diagrams. Must be capable of following a wiring diagram on tracing installed wire. Must be able to install electrical hardware such as junction boxes, and circuit breaker units.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Complete all required paperwork in a timely and accurate manner
• Maintain the equipment and inventory in your truck for maximum efficiency
• Attend required department meetings
• Maintain any necessary licenses or certifications which may apply
• Exhibit professional conduct at all times, whether at the job site or driving company vehicles
• Participate in an on-call rotation schedule that includes nights, weekends and holidays.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong customer service experience, troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Very genuine and personable a must
• Strong steady work history with 3 years minimum as an Electrician
• Strong communication skills
• Efficient and organized

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Must possess current, valid Electrical License
• Minimum of one year experience
• Have a high school diploma or GED
• Possess a current driver’s license
• Complete a diploma, degree or certificate program in the field
• Electricians must be aware of safety regulations and must wear and use supplied protective equipment to minimize risks.
